DVDs Added in 2011

If you haven't been into the VRC recently, you're missing out on some terrific additions to our DVD collection. All general circulation DVDs may be borrowed for 2 nights, or the whole weekend if you come in on Thursday or Friday.  DVDs on course reserve can be borrowed overnight.  All you need is your NSCAD card with a library barcode and you're set!  For more lists of media items in the VRC, click the "Media Collection" tab on our guide.

NEW ADDITIONS: 2011

    Welcome!

Welcome to the NSCAD Visual Resources Collection!  The information in this guide will help you to navigate the resources offered in the collection, and to help you gain additional assistance with your research.  Here you will find out how to use our online digital image resources, and film and video collections, located on-campus.  The NSCAD VRC provides access to ARTstor, a vast and broad collection of art and culture images for education, and to FADIS, an image resource provided to Canadian education institutions.  Our aim is to assist with all the aspects of image use for education, such as research, copyright, and presentation. The NSCAD Visual Resources Collection (VRC) was initiated to support the teaching of NSCAD's art history department more than 30 years ago, and over the years has extended its collection to serve the wider scope of NSCAD's community.
