Interlibrary loan is a service that allows libraries to share their collections with other libraries. Once you have registered with the NSCAD Library, you can borrow items from other libraries using your NSCAD account. This page is a quick guide to Interlibrary Loan at the NSCAD Library. For more information, we have a detailed guide here: NSCAD Interlibrary Loan Guide
The NSCAD Library is a partner in an interlibrary loan group called CAUL-DDG (Council of Atlantic University Libraries / Conseil des bibliothèques universitaires de l'Atlantique Document Delivery Group).
We use a system called Relais to manage the delivery of materials from one library to another. This system allows us to order books, articles and other media from libraries in the Atlantic region, across Canada, and around the world. In turn, we loan our circulating materials to patrons of libraries outside the Novanet system. To request an item using Relais, use this form
As a partner in Novanet, we also participate in a free document delivery service among Novanet libraries called Novanet Express.
