Interlibrary Loan Guide: Restrictions

A guide to interlibrary loan policies and procedures at NSCAD

Material Restrictions

Provision of materials is at the discretion of the lending library. Materials often unavailable for interlibrary loan may include, but are not restricted to:

  • Reference books
  • ebooks
  • Specialized collections
  • Rare items
  • Most audio-visual items

If you have questions about the availability of items for interlibrary loan, please contact our Interlibrary Loans Technician Detta Morrison-Phillips or call 902-494-8255.

Borrower Restrictions

Novanet Express is restricted to registered Novanet library patrons (faculty, staff and students of member institutions and Nova Scotia residents who are 18 years of age or older).  If you would like to register as a Novanet patron, and have not already done so, please visit our Circulation Desk.

Please note that Relais requests are limited to NSCAD faculty, staff, students and alumni. If you are an Off-Campus Borrower, we ask that you please visit your local public library in order to request materials not available within the Novanet consortium.
