As a NSCAD student, faculty, or staff member you have access to full-text journals, indexes, ebooks, streaming videos, and image materials that are available to you from anywhere and licensed by the library for your educational use. If you are looking to access licensed digital materials through your personal computer or mobile device there are a few different avenues for access including NSCAD's Databases A-Z Page, the Novanet Library Catalogue, or the Journals A-Z Index.
When clicking into NSCAD's licensed library materials you will be prompted to authenticate as a NSCAD user through the proxy server login page (pictured below).
To authenticate and access digital content you will need to have ready your NSCAD username and password (Same combination as NSCAD Self Service).
If you are having trouble logging into resources from NSCAD's databases please check the following:
1. That you are using your NSCAD username and password to login (same as your NSCAD self-serv account)
2. That your chosen browser is updated
3. If you continue to have issues try clearing your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser, and then try the resource again
4. If you continue to have issues logging in after checking all of the above, please contact Lelland Reed, Collections and Systems Librarian at lreed@nscad.ca
If you have issues accessing digital material off campus after reading this guide, or if you have any questions please contact:
